Who I am

What do I believe?

It’s important to be clear in what I believe is true.

I believe in God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I believe the Holy Bible and declare it as truth.

I believe that God is the creator of the heavens and the earth. I believe in the fall of Adam and Eve and I believe when He lost what He so desired, a relationship with us, He began chasing our hearts relentlessly and for centuries now. I believe God descended into time, put His crown aside and took on our fragile human frame to repair His ability to spend eternity with us. His creation. His children. I believe He created us to lavish His love on and aches to be known by us.  I believe He was borne of a virgin woman and given the name Jesus. I believe Jesus is the Messiah and was crucified to restore humanity to our true identity as the body of Christ: the favored and esteemed recipient of the King of Kings affection. I believe that when Jesus died He went to hell in OUR place. He went there for ME and He went there for YOU. I believe Jesus held out His hand to Satan, after the necessary conditions were satisfied, motioned for Satan to hand over the keys to hell and took them with Him into heaven. I believe Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. I believe that we are now able to have a personal and intimate relationship with God because of Jesus’ sacrifice. I believe in the Trinity. I believe His spirit, the Holy Spirit was gifted to us and He still moves today. I believe everyone does sin but we shouldn’t label ourselves as such. I believe Jesus died so that we can walk in victory. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. I believe we are royalty, not because of any behavior or action or circumstance other than Jesus’. I believe in acknowledging who God says we are.

I believe God is our unconditionally, loving Father, as will call Him as such in posts. (I like to call Him “Abba”. Check out Romans 8:15)

I believe Jesus is our brother, a Son of the Most High, both God and human man.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, His gift from Abba to us, to help us balance living in this world but belonging to another.
